NotePad is designed to be privacy-focused. We collect minimal information:

• Note content (stored temporarily, auto-deleted after expiration)
• IP addresses (for rate limiting and security)
• No personal information or user accounts required

How We Use Your Information

Your note content is stored securely and automatically deleted after the expiration period (default: 14 days). We do not share, sell, or use your notes for any purpose other than providing the service.

Data Security

Notes are stored in a secure database. Password-protected notes use bcrypt hashing. However, please note that notes are accessible to anyone with the note ID and password (if set).

Cookies

We use localStorage to save your dark mode preference and draft notes locally in your browser. No tracking cookies are used.
